Toggle Crouch ( On ground / Tank .50 cal )
The thread name states it all - I'm wondering if theres anyway to toggle crouch on/off instead of holding, because there are times when...
A. Sitting in a tank and you KNOW you don't want your head up for extended periods of times.
B. You hate the BF2 engine and hiding in a corner may leave your legs hanging out so I am holding crouch for a long long time usually in a defensive area...
Save my left pinky please.

For this very reason i have one of my thumb buttons on my mouse as crouch. I can hold couch continuiously with no pinky strain.
I know this has been asked b4... i'm sure with some editting of key binding files etc you could get this working.
(and off topic,.. jesus Doom, from your sig stats, a 36 death streak... what mission were you on? lol)

Would be nice if there was some way of toggling it so I can do other things without holding it down, probably not possible though (I like having to hold it down most of the time).
I heard of people creating macros to dolphin dive back in vBF2, so perhaps there might be some way of creating some shortcut.

How about the other way round though to represent the fear of sticking your head out?
You get on the gun and are safe inside but unable to fire, you hold shift down to popup and then able to fire?

actually there is a way to toggle crouch. you only need a macro
for the ones that dont know what a macro is.. http://www.autohotkey.com/
I dont use it but i know it can work, you need to do some scripting
and your good to go

I didn't think of using a macro - not a big fan of background programs - and reverse-crouch is a good idea whomever said it ( Hold crouch to pop UP in tank 50 cal )

That does seem pretty reasonable actually, time crisis styley and that. I assume making it togglable for when your on foot is hardcoded though, so a macros probably the only way to do it.[R-PUB]MrD wrote:How about the other way round though to represent the fear of sticking your head out?
