Just to be a complete stickler, the United States has oil shale reserves in the Rocky Mountains are actually larger than the oil reserves in the Middle East. It's expensive now to extract, but if oil prices are $300 dollars a barrel... I think people would pay the for it.

OP I don't care because it's shale oil and IIRC Canada has a larger reserve of the stuff but, unfortunately, that stuff is even worse for the environment than normal oil.
I watched Newsnight with the Paxman the other day which had a large feature about Oil. Don't worry we're fine at the moment with it, what with the new oil fields being found on the coast of Brazil - Venezuela.
No need to panic guys.
Although if the Scandinavians are sitting on a lot of the black stuff I might have to break out the snow camo...

Right now the norweigian "oljefond" ("surplus" income from oil production nationwide and interest of already saved money is controled by the government)is about 70.300 USD pr norwegian citizen.
This moneyreserve might get in handy somethime in the future. That is if the world economic system doesnt collapse of course.. then we're totally *ucked.

MEC/China managed to destroy all C130 gunships and military satelites that the US has so everyone is forced to fight a conventional war. There, that's the storyline[R-DEV]Rhino wrote:this is why we should not make a storyline for PR hehe.
