wouldn't it be possible to make a countdown on the grenade (it was done on the H-AT)

I'd like to see the delay to throw go away. It takes no time to get a grenade out of your pocket and throw it certainly not the bloody 5 (a guess I've not timed it) second delay it takes now.

The countdown is not changeable in-game, at least I think not, and neither is the HATs. There can be a delay to ready, a delay to fire and a delay to go boom. But not much else. I will have a look later though, when I have some more time.
This is true. Grenades aren't like the movies. The M67 has not one but two safety pins on the fuze assembly. And you don't just pull pin, throw, go boom. You need to judge range, aim, and hope your throw was true and on point. And as for "pulling it out of your pocket", any soldier carrying a live frag will have it securely fastened inside of a grenade pouch. This means you have to unfasten the snap and then pull it out.

I think a cool animation to simulate the delay would be great, but I don't feel it's a priority. So far I'm actually pretty happy with how grenades act in PR. That includes the M18's as well as the M67's.
