I went to a Remembrance Day service this weekend in Ontario, where I saw my grandpa. He's a WWII veteran, as is my grandma (although of course she was in an administrative role) and 7 other people at the service. My grandpa's only got a couple weeks left to live, and the whole experience was very powerful.
A very sad thing to hear waste, Iam thankfull he served in WW2 and my heart is with ur family in this troubling time.

My helmet is off to all those past and present serving to try and make this a better world to live in. My Honor Guard did a 4 hour tribute to Honor all Veterans, and we shall do so till the end of time.

Because your oountry asked you to, or drafted you to and, at least for us, we thank them for their service, regardless of when and where that service was.
And as the windshield melts
My tears evaporate
Leaving only charcoal to defend.
Finally I understand the feelings of the few.
