I'd say USMC APCs because they have to attack and MEC can dig in inside the city and just defend with everything they have. They don't need no armor, just RPGs and that stuff. Will be a really hard and intensive battle guys... Wow can't wait for itjayceon515 wrote:You mean USMC APCs or MEC APSs? Or both?

all a admin has to do to cut down on them and other bugs like that is set the server to 1 round per map, then only put that map in the list. loading the same map 2x saves on alot of bugs and is alot quicker than loading another map.jayceon515 wrote:I guess this is going to be awesome. Squad bugs every third round![]()

may show something off soon, thou put a hold on muttrah for the time being to do the finishing touches to Qinling and fix up the other maps
ye, you aint going to see any MBTs vs MBTs in this map, and APCs shouldn't really engage each other.Farks wrote:Don't think there will be any tanks, except one or two APC's for the USMC.

I think the number of updates around 0.7 has been poor so far. And it has only been about new vehicles and maps, nothing about new/changed features and gameplay tweaks. We want more of that soon![R-DEV]Rhino wrote:there is something called the edit button, and you will have to wait and see![]()
It may not belong in this thread, but you reminded me about when you said "wait and see".

reason being that alot of our code changes can radicily change at any time. Alot of our code is "POC" (Proof of Concept) and the BF2 engine has a way of hauling out problem after problem that we must find a way to get around, if we can. We do not want to say "we are going to be including this super 1337 stuff in v0.7", then be met by a limitation we did not see before that stops everything from working, and we have no way of getting around it, then not having it released in v0.7Farks wrote:I think the number of updates around 0.7 has been poor so far. Also of gameplay tweaks may also be reverted or changed depending on how testing on them goes.
The only time we can talk about stuff like that is close to release when we know what is going to be working, and what is going in.
Otherwise we will have all of you guys saying "why was this not in, you said it would be!" and all of that stuff, as we got your hopes up then let them down...
So its much better, and easier to show off new vehicles, maps etc as they can be easily seen visually for a start (you wouldn't want a screenshot of code
I am also not going to state what vehicles are going to be in the map as at this time, without propper game play testing I can not say for sure. I have a good idea of what is going to be in the map on the final version, how many of each vehicle for each layer etc but if I had to remove one of thous vehicles cos of gameplay problems, you guys would nag about it for months, very much like the Apache on Al Basrah that was in the beta etc.
Think thats all the reasons covered anyways

Sounds fairly sensible to me.
So Rhino, if I may paraphrase: "0.7 will be ready when it's ready. We aren't going to make any promises we can't keep. Don't worry it's worth the wait, now go and play instead of spamming the boards."
Was I about right?

"It is not the responsibility of a defender to leave the objective unguarded just so his opponent sucks less."
