Sniper kit ?
I have been reading WiKi and the manual and have not seen any reference to it. Once you have acquired the sniper kit or any other, do you have to request it again if you are killed?
I have have only played PR one time, I find it very intimidating but I like the whole concept. You have done an excellent job on this mod. I am not the greatest player and I usually play the lone wolf with sniper kit. So this is very different for me. I hope to see of you in game and get some pointers from the pro's.
Thnaks in advance,

Thanks for the input. I have no problem with team work. I generally try to defend CP's after taking them. As you know with BF2v that is hard to do when a medic comes along revives all the victims. I like the idea of the headshot being dead and not fixable, same with the knife kill. I can hold my own in close quarters.
Thanks for the warm welcome. And I do know that snipers are not well liked. that goes for any shooter. I got my start in DoD and was not liked very much.

DoD eh? I was one of those MG42 whores back before source. I also loved rifle butting people, too much fun.
For sniper bashing, we like snipers just not the ones who join a squad request the kit then run off into the woods not assiting us in picking off targets on flags and generally doing your own thing. If you are helping we love you!

yeah, snipers never will be well liked, something about people being insecure about their lack of ability with the kit
jks jks
good to have new players
yeah if you jump in a squad and help them scope out an area its very helpful, but i would much rather go the marksman kit, much better with the option of automatic fire.
good to have new players

Those were my favorite target. As long as another team mate wouldn't run out in front of me when I scoped up to take one out. I love the double and triple kills one could get with one bullet. And the shovel, could have some good kills with that. The good old days. I try and play it every now and then, man do I suck now.lol

PPL need to start making sniper squads, only requires two player, have 2-3 players in your squad including marksman and close it.
Snipers regularly not a member in a infantry squad, marksman are but it's always a good idea to ask your SL if he needs a marksman.
Don't camp in the middle of nowhere. Follow a squad and help them out by taking out enemies far away, from a good safe location. Stay in friendly area and you will be in safe hands.

Heres when I find a sniper useful, and when I use it.
#1: As a joke I will play with close friends from around the world in a 2 or 3 man squad with a M95/M82 ammo and a medic, or as a requestable sniper/rifleman with 2 people - flanking around the border of the map or into obscure places behind the enemy constantly relocating.
#2: Best example is when I was on the southern island of zatar wetlands across the river - I was playing with people I regularly play with that *never* keep a person who requests a sniper kit without asking first. I ask permission because the enemy is 500m+ away and I assist the squad as we clear the ridge, move up to the USMC main and begin our barrage of grenadier fire
#3: If the gun is an enemy rifle and we are not taxed by someone holding the gun, usually my buddies will say "I want you to pick up that gun and keep it from the enemy" This applies to HAT as well, and is also very important in insurgency mode
A lot of people request the sniper kit and run off for the tallest hill and get shot in the process - when flanking is the best option with at least another person for cover ( Since most likely it is another "lone-wolf" that comes for you. )
Also I really do hate when people request the marksman kit as a "boo-hoo I didn't get a sniper rifle" kit - the marksman rifle is a powerful medium range rifle ( It has a lot of drop longer range than other rifles it seems to me )
Simply the marksman kit is a great squad weapon, especially when your moving and you need to cover your squad, with a small vantage point staying in the back, and regrouping 50-100m behind them.
It is not the "Sniper kit #2"
That is all I have to say about the sniper kit.
