Ok, I have an awesome awesome idea for insurgency. If it's been suggested before, or if *I* suggested it before (lol!) then just disregard this and please don't get really dramatic about 'use search' (or you can if you want, whatever hehe).
Now, currently you can just stumble upon ammo caches that you don't have intelligence on (that do not have a red circle near them) and destroy them. In fact, during the limited time I've been playing insurgency, that's my strategy, I check all the places without red circles because the insurgents are unlikely to defend them since they don't have red A's. Usually this results in a handful of caches being destroyed. While this is fun for GB, it makes it pretty impossible for the INS to defend.
So my idea is to have the ammo caches not even spawn until a red circle has been placed on them! That way, obviously this tactic would be removed from the game. And you would only be able to attack caches that the INS had at least a small chance of going to defend.
To finish off this idea, I have to say it would be unfair for the insurgents to lose all their pickup kits since the caches wouldn't be showing yet (and therefore the weapons wouldn't spawn yet - and it's important that they don't! Or else the british could just search for weapons and then they would know that a ammo cache will eventually spawn there!)
So, to solve that weapon shortage, this is what you would do:
Place pickup kits at all static spawns on the map (which I believe is just the palace and a couple around near the mosque). Also, make kits requestable from mobile spawn points. Currently the SL can get a grenade launcher kit, well just allow regular troops to get other special kits.
Make ammo caches not spawn until red circle

ROFL! ok then.
That's what I get for only browsing these forums using the New Posts link, and skimming over them quickly and only opening 5 or so that catch my eye. I never browse the forums manually where you can see all the threads. I actually did open a post where some guy was suggesting some wacky idea where the SL's could relocate the spawns, which is what reminded me to post this idea.
