Alternate Battle Field ranking provides ranks for Project reality
the site and it's influence are spotty but there are ranks in PR, despite the fact that they do nothing for you except ensure a better chance at commander.

Personally, I have yet to serve under a commander ranked higher than 1st Lt although the ABR ranking board shows 2,3 and even 4 star Generals.
