sandbox; object placing

sandbox; object placing

if you are familiar with sandbox
you know what im talking about
,the ability to place them manualy, (not like now, when you press firebase and a mtrs high firebase pops out in the air),

no! the abilitie like sandbox to select a object and place it manualy! like the commander/SL has the abilitie to open a screen and press the button ''sandbags'' he has sandbags in front of him and place the like he wants, than he can rotate them and kind of stuff,, so can placed right in the spot you want :) (and without to high buildings, becouse you can adjust the hight)

so pls dev's inplete the sandbox system, or look at the system,..

I think it's a good idea. Some objects are just hit or miss when placing them. Although it could probably be easily exploited. SL's could get a sandbag up ready to place and just go forward with it using it as mobile cover or w/e.

That kind of system would be nice for commander. It would make commanders work a lot easier ;)

leaves alot of room for exploitation IMO.

hmmm, exploit is a possible here, but i belive it could be detained to where the commander is not able to move when placing an object, and maybe not being able to place it on statics.

but that will add alot of posibilities , like placing an AA gun on top of a building , usualy AA guns are obstructed by buildings .

(now thinking again , must be hard to move a AA gun on top of a building :p )

Just stand on top of the builing and spawn it,then move it to the best position :)
I like the idea,but u should be able to just shoot true it if it inst placed yet,so u cant use it as mobile cover

Problem with that is collision detect with objects, the reason I don't see this being a possible way of implementing:

A. Sandbox mod while its great for what it is its an entire whole slew of code THEY made for moving objects - would be a ton of work to code moving objects.

B. This may work in organized games / tournies - but in a public game I can just see a CO placing a bunker inside another building, or an AA gun in a building so you can "hop off" into a glitched part of the building.

Its a good idea, but its one of those you have to say no to IMHO.
