Chinese Victory Music

Post by PRC_Heavy_Z »

The nonfictional factions in PR such as US and UK both have clips of their national anthem as their victory music, it'd make sense if China had its national anthem as its victory music as well.

I've made some short "victory" clips:

http://media.putfile.com/PRC-Win3
http://media.putfile.com/Chin-Win2
http://media.putfile.com/PRC-Win

All these clips are edited from the actual anthem:

Its a minor detail thing...yes, but details give games an edge :)

What do you all think?

Tell you what I'd like!

AT LEAST the next bar of the UK's national anthem! I mean, why the hell does it cut off ONE note into the next bar?

"God save our gracious Queen,
Long."

What the hell was that about? = /

That Chinese anthem sounds very Western.

That's why I wouldn't put it in.

I'd rather accuracy than a stringy, synthesised erhu.

Don't be silly!
It's the Chinese National Anthem. How exactly does it sound Western? even if it does sound western, that doesn't mean it shouldn't be put in because... well... it's the Chinese National Anthem  , the same one they play every morning where I live  .

BTW did any of you guys here a *click* sound in any of the edited music? Thanks

Rather than tradition chinese modes, this song uses traditional western ones. It sounds really similar, if not identical to a lot of western band literature.

Whether or not it belongs in the mod is another thing though. Isn't there an actual song for the PLA, just like the US Army and Marines have a song?

Yes, the Chinese and American National Anthem are both in the G Ionian mode (don’t know about other Western National Anthems). However, Regardless of how it sounds, it's still the Chinese National Anthem, just because it’s Chinese doesn’t mean it has to be played with a different mode filled with gongs and other oriental instruments. So in regards to your first post, that’s no reason not to use it.

The reason why I believe it should be added is because, like I said: currently, all nonfiction factions (except for PLA) have its national anthem as its victory music, and if the Russian faction uses its vBF2 victory music it’d also have its national anthem as victory music. So why make China an exception? It’d be quite unbefitting.

Also, PLA does have its own marching music. However like I said, why make Chinese victory music stick out like a sore thumb? The PLA marching music wouldn’t make a good victory music anyways, have a listen yourself:

It’s… just too happy

Watch out when you do that.

However, I do also.

I've uploaded the three "victory music" on 4share, so if anyone interested there they are.

http://www.4shared.com/file/31547432/83 ... _Win2.html
http://www.4shared.com/file/31547399/eb ... _Win1.html
http://www.4shared.com/file/31547383/12 ... _Win3.html

Does anyone know what directory you are supposed to put these files in to overwrite the existing music?
