Not sure if it was a PTRD, but the Fedayeen Saddam definetly shot out the optics on a Challenger 2 during the initial invasion of Iraq (Its the same incident as the one where the Challenger 2 got hit by a MILAN and 8 RPGs before it was recovered, with the crew remaining unharmed)
