well if that wont work why dont we make it so you can have a bipod anywhere? all you would have to do is use
the code from the m82 that allowes you to olny fire when prone and put that on a m249, then give it a delay like the hat, then increase the accuracy and done, you would have 2 types of guns the normal m249 and the m249 bipod. if you were to do this, the only problem would be having to some how link each weapons ammo.

Its actually a really good idea, even with the 'exploitability' off it. Why? Because with the new delay changes for bringing up iron sights it wont matter. Plus irl you could simply place your weapon over your head and fire from behind cover. Granted you wouldn't hit **** all, but it is a very common tactic among less trained and disciplined armies.
Really though, right now defenders have so few advantages and many disadvantages when trying to defend from inside a building. All it becomes is 'see who gets a grenade in first' or APC/Tank spam. With this you'd be having to wonder about each building and each window as you pass it, which is very good in my opinion.
Just might take up this idea as my new 'don't care about your whinning just do it devs' idea

You know what else causes to much lag?[R-DEV]IronTaxi wrote:yeah wont work though...limitation on the number of vehicle type objects in the world would be the first thing that comes to mind..
each structure would need a secondary vehicle structure to attach to it..
exponentially increasing objects and lag in the game world..
good idea thouhg
Destrucable buildings, long view distances, long draw distances, bigger maps....
All of those ideas right there that myself and jaymz had to kick and scream about until someone finally said 'fine we'll try it' and bam, what do you know, it worked out okay.
Whats the harm in at least trying it?

Seems to me that this probably would make most sense when used on say, a small map like Street, but with more open buildings.
You could have a small Insurgency map, aimed at say 12 v 12 at most, where the aim is to sweep through a town door to door looking for caches. No VCP, no area outside of the town, just a bunch of streets and many open buildings to enter and control the area from.

The numbers issue needn't be too much of a problem, if for example the map was infantry-only with no actual vehicles and only a few destroyable buildings.
If I had any understanding of how to actually attempt it, I would indeed give it a go lol. As I don't, well... anyone else?

I dont think anyone is gonna feel the same about dying in the next release.......Medics will be your best friends just watch.ConscriptVirus wrote:^^ i hate being revived anyways because u still have to wait for the medic to heal you up and risk getting killed again. personally, id rather just die so i can go get some food or a drink while i wait.
but awesome idea. itd be a time consuming job, but worth it.

Seems to me that it would make you easier to be seen/hit with fewer evade options. Unless, of course, you add a "duck" option like the humv and tank's topside .50 cal position.
Then again, I may as well just look through the window and shoot without actually entering it. At least then (due to clipping) I am nearly unseen by people below me.
