Team player but cant seem to find any good squad leaders

3. All of the servers above are good places to start. Look for squads with names like "VOIP + TW" (voice-over-ip & teamwork) or funny names like A-TEAM or DONKEYCOCK (my usual squad names).

If you see the squad "Spec Ops" which is my squad's usual title, join up. I don't get to play a whole lot anymore and my squad's name can be a bit misleading because I only do special forces stuff half the time. The rest of the time you'll find me using everything from AT to tank hunt to providing supply and repair support for friendly armor. I try to keep it squad oriented and kind of let my squad voice on the next move to make but in the end a autocracy is superior to a democracy in war so I hold the final decision and make the commands in battle. Most people I've lead enjoyed it and I even get people I've had before join because they saw the name of my squad. (That's why I use the same name no matter what I'm doing.)

like it's been mentioned already, a lot of times the best thing to do is start your own squad. i can count on one hand how many times i have played under a random SL for an entire round, and i have been playing since .3. i always start my own squad or join a buddy's.

a few tips on being an SL:

-use VOIP. use it enough and the rest of the squad will be following suit. let your squad know what your overall goals are...whether you're attacking or defending, where you're heading for an RP and when, etc. repeat your orders often.

-keep map orders up to date. when attacking or defending a location, try to put the attack/defend smoke signal on the roof of a building so the smoke stays out of your squad's line of sight.

-kick unresponsive, unruly, or just plain ignorant players immediately. one bad squadmate can ruin an entire battleplan. if you tell a guy to spawn on you so you can drop an RP (as 2 other squadmates are waiting) only to see the guy spawn on a bunker and request a kit, kick him immediately. you should give a little leeway cause sometimes people make mistakes, but dont give 'em too much leeway. i rule my squads with an iron fist. if someone disobeys my orders twice or doesnt respond to my direct questions, i will boot his *** so a more productive player can join up. dont mess around here. it's YOUR squad.

I always play it the right way. Look for a FORWRD OPS squad , that's my usual title and you will find the style of play you seek. I Frequent the DVB, TG and Texas Team Players.
