The AH-6J is capable of mounting a variety of weapons systems. Normal aircraft configuration consists of two 7.62mm miniguns with 1500 to 2000 rounds per gun, and two seven-shot 2.75" rocket pods

So, if the AH can carry that much ammo, how come it's only got 600 in PR? It says, further on that site, that the AH holds two cans of ammo with a max ammo count of 2625 rounds, ball, tracer or SLAP (my favorite, wish we had in PR :twisted

You've got the rocket pods right, could we get at least 1000 rounds? Purleeeez

You'd make me cry with joy if we got 2000 round of SLAP and then white phosphorus rockets

Seems like a good idea to me, rockets are just lame but more minigun ammo seems fine if that is what it is in real life.

I with the MEC LB had higher RoF... Damn that chopter sucks right now, it cant be used to anything elce than recon

Don't forget that the BF2 engine limits the RoF and to compensate, splash damage was added and the ammo count was lowered. The same thing is being done to the A-10 for the next release AFAIK.

The RoF limit is 3600. And the MEC LB has a RoF around 600....

The MEC chopper is the Eurocopter 635, with only 2 pylon hardpoints. It is primarily a utility chopper, without the development of weapons systems seen in the LB. The LB has 2 pylon hardpoints and 2 fuselage hardpoints, thus giving it approximately 2x the hitting power, although it has lighter weapons.

Currently the MEC chopper has 2x20mm cannons, effective against both infantry and light vehicles, and IRL these pods contain 180 rounds each. The LB can carry 2 M134 7.62mm gatling guns, as well as 2 hydra 70 rocket pods. The 7.62s are worthless vs vehicles, the rocket pods are effective but highly limited in ammunition.

If the 20mm shot with less drop off or angle it would be helpful, some might even say necessary. I would say that currently the LB and Euro are pretty well balanced. Pilots must realize that the cannons on the Eurocopter are not to be sprayed willy nilly at infantry, pick their targets and aim well. I do agree that both aircraft should represent their real armament, as they are relatively equal in hitting power in real life.

So Eurocopter should have 2x20mm cannon, total 360 rounds.
LB should have 2x7.62 gatling guns, I was unable to find a reliable source for ammo, and 14 2.75 in rockets.

I've read that the maximum ammo count, as stated before, on the LB using 7.62mm SLAP, ball, tracer or low-light tracer is 2625.
