.7 going to have RL weapon MOA (deviation)?
I know a lot is changing in this respect and I'm wondering if the MOA of the guns in PR is modeled. I know that if you put a normal M16 in a vise and fired it off the hit marks at 100yrds would be within a 3 inch radius (6inch Diameter) assuming the gun is a 3MOA. I think 3 MOA is pretty standard for the mass produced M16. Anyways, just curious if this made it into the game. I think it's pretty easy to input as well.
Btw this is deviation from the gun if it was perfectly vised in, any extra deviation from the users stance etc would then be added to it.

The best way to meet Rico is TK him before he TK's you. Safety first! But yeah Rico's a hell of a good guy. Tf21 guys are 1st class...though its annoying how good some of them are, you have to steal kills.

"Well damnit patty save a little for me...ah sh1T I TK'd Rico"

And yeah, Rico got a couple of TKs today...

As for Rico, he makes sweet, sweet music on teamspeak every time he soaks up one of our rounds. I think he's trying to take my nickname away from me....

While I dont have any info for the previous poster.. I'd just like to say that [R-DEV]Rico and Rico_UK are the same. The latter is my in-game name.
Rico11b is clearly some imposter
Heck, ill throw in a small bit of info. The deviation system has been overhauled for .7. There.

Back on topic lads,
The OP mentioned about putting a weapon in a vise. That's what 0.6 is like, a bunch of weapons in vise's running around shooting with deadly accuracy. Thus, you get about 5% of the shooting that would happen in a RL engagement.
In 0.7, the human element is added in. Meaning you'll have to settle for a few seconds before gaining accuracy. So hopefully there will be a lot more shooting and supressing going on in 0.7.

Hey actually 0.6 was way to accurate even for a vised gun. Thats why I was asking if the MOA would be added in, which is the deviation of the gun itself. Most massed produced M16's are around 3 MOA. So if you vised it then it would shoot a 3 inch (radius) of a pattern, not perfectly straight like in 0.6. We should have this in there AS WELL as the human element. The MOA of the M16 in 0.6 was like 1.4 IIRC, which is totally off.[R-DEV]Jaymz wrote:Back on topic lads,

This is an MOA spreadsheet that nedlands made some time ago. It shows (in MOA) the expected accuracy of all weapons in game. At least thats how it is in .6 right now. I'm not sure how he extracted these values, but he posted the formula in a thread about MOA of weapons accuracy, I think. The Army provides a range of weapon accuracy of 3 to 6 MOA. Anything inside of 6 MOA is COMPLETELY acceptable to the Army ONLY because you can still hit a man sized target at 550 meters with it. Head shots beyond 200 meters are NOT realistic so the Army doesn't waste time training soldiers to that level. When they do they call them SNIPERS, and they provide with a rifle that is able to produce 1 MOA. Sure you can get head shots at very long ranges, but it takes more than .5 tenths of a second to prepare for such a shot.
If an M16 can NOT put 3 rounds into a 4cm circle at 25 meters it is taken out of service and rebuilt completely. This is done only when it is determined that the shooter is NOT the cause of the errors. If the shooter is the cause, then he will be retrained and tested again. 4cm is something like 1.57 inches at 25 meters. At 100 meters it works out to be a 6.28 inch circle. At 200 meters is works out to be 12.56 inches. You guys see where this is going? Is the average human head 12.56 inches wide? Is is 12.56 inches high? If not then expect misses at or beyond 200 meters on human head sized targets.
