Hi
Seems to me a lot of the developers at PR are of british origin, and I truly hope that you at some point will have time to create some maps based on 16Air Assault Brigades and the marine Commandos' experiences in Helmand during 2006707.
I am sure you can find someone who can help you recreate the challenging "infrastructures" and battles of Sangin, Now Zad and Musa Qal'eh if you request it on PR homepage.
The extremely tough battles fought by your countrymen should be recreated as accurately as possible to honour their achievements.

Musa Qal'eh
Musa Qal'eh was manned by pathfinders of 3 PARA initally and later held by the Royal Irish together with Danish Light Recce Company.
I agree that there are several battles that are worthy of a remake in PR but these fit into the BF2 "map type" with stationary positions inside a relatively small city and maybe a HLZ and some strongpoints that need to be held. It would be a real challenge to recreate OP Anaconda or the assault on Fallujah as these would be MASSIVE but as stated in the sticky in this section, we have to keep in mind the time it would take to make such a massive campaign.
For the Helmand battles UK would have their basic arsenal the way it is in PR right now, maybe even squeeze in mortars instead of artillery. The taliban would be equipped with RPGs, RPKs, PKMs, AKs and DShKs mounted on pickup trucks.
It would be aaaaaaweeeesome!!!!!!!

What about 12th Mech brigade this year? I speant 2 months in now Zad and 3 Months in Sangin so ive got loads of material from those and actual first hand experience so if anyone ever tacles this, let me know and ill offer any help i can.16Air Assault Brigades and the marine Commandos' experiences in Helmand during 2006707.
Now Zad would be an awesome map to recreate, not too large a town with some open desert, urban and a green zone. It has a main british compound with a fire support hill about 1km away called ANP Hill. It had the mortars, GMGs 50.Cals, snipers and Javelin on it. The town itself had loads of natural tunnels and man made rat runs for the Taliban to get pretty close to the compound and fire on it.
Sangin would be harder but again would be a great map. Ive got my maps of these places somewhere...
