[Map] Al Anbar Province [scrapped]

The map is 1024x2 (just like Basrah) and it will be US Army vs Insurgents.
It took me 2 weeks to decide which town to make and I've decided to do Ubaydi . It's a small town near Syrian border. The Marines were there in 2005 IRL. The story goes that after USMC had left the area the insurgents started to come from Syria to regain control. The Army was called in to restore peace and to get completely rid of the remaining insurgents and their weapon supplies.

I've been working on this for the last month and I've got to the point when I can finally say that the town is done.

This is how it looks IRL (It is impossible to make it 1:1 so I've chosen the upper right quarter of the town):

I've been going for realism and that creepy Iraqi atmosphere. Take in mind that this is still very WIP I still have to do a village and US base.
Hope you like it.

Special thanks to US Army lieutenant MikeAP for his awesome reference material it really hepled me to get some details right :)

It's going to be such a pain to look for caches on that LOL! Looks cool though
What about...making it at night ? Looking for caches..in the dark.
Not really realistic I guess, but would be fun xD

looks like a good start, thou wouldn't use the vbf2 pavement statics too much, they limit you alot to only building in blocks and the sizes of blocks you can make, thou as your map is most made in blocks dont matter too much.

It looks nice. :D So what kind of vehicles will us army have only ground(Tanks?) or even air.Maybe put more wrecks on the road for cover.
(Well I won't suggest coz it's still very wip.)
I see some intense urban fighting on this map when it's done. ;)

Thank you all for the positive feedback :-) I was also thinking about making this a night map with lots of street lights but I'm not exactly sure about the performance (there are already many statics used in the town).
US Army will have 1 M1A2 Abrams tank, 2 Strykers,6-8 Humvees and a Blackhawk. If this was a night map then I would like to use a non-respawning apache (would be a bit tougher to kill insurgents with nightvision on).
There is going to be a wide river with 2 or 3 bridges to to make sure US will need engineers to keep the bridges up for the armor to cross.
