How does the average player become a tester?

Post by Ryan3215 »

I've been wondering how someone becomes a tester and what the qualifications are. Do you have some sort of test to see if you are worthy or not? I would just like the facts because I would love to be one permitting the R- people let me.

Description: Apply after .7 Comes out
How To Reproduce: Wait
Solution: Dear god are you really sure you want to subject yourself to that? If so tester applications are being made for .7

Not this again Viper...
You were already bombing Rhino with this in game so that might be enough...

lol. :D

But yeah, just wait for the applications to open and apply. If you send fuzzhead enough money/alcohol/women he might pick you.

You need to have 1000+ posts on the forum and 10/10 in the active bar ;)

Well, prior/active service definitely help (as neither myself nor Rico11b have over 1000 posts) or in Rico's case, the habit of sleeping with his mouth open...

primary requirement of a PR tester...

number 1

not be a ****

number 2

have other people say, hey this guy isnt a ****

number 3

actually test the game. inside in and out and on a regular basis.. those who view being a tester as a "neat" way to try out all the "leet" new features are quickly discoverd and disposed of in our own sarlok pit...where they are slowly digested over a thousand years...!!! mmuuhhhhahahahaha

acutally...i think fuzz mainly chooses testers based in the reputation in the community...

Also, keep in mind testing is intensely boring... Still want to do it? Then you might be a good candidate :p

Well if you play the game and report/verify bugs, you are doing what a tester does anyways. What more could you want?

Maybe because he's in the rl military? Being a **** < being able to handle a gun ;)

Also, remember, it's not all fun and games. Being a tester involves playing a buggy/incomplete build, trying to find out what can go wrong, not just playing for fun (don't take the .6 open beta as an example of what testing is like)
