lol gazz indeed. That was a terrible reason.
But significantly less often, yes? Also, praying to god is a lot different than "Praise god, we just whacked some fools". Generally soldiers are praying for themselves, not being thankful for the death of others (although I guess that's a valid prayer too).I seen the same thing but americans, AT4, M16's, M240 and praying to god...

... Seeing as how the Militia ingame represents a sort of "Freedom Fighters" group (And not really an organized militia with standardization), they'd probably use anything they can get their hands on. Hell they're already utilizing a mix of old WW2 & Cold War Soviet military hardware.markonymous wrote:they're not going to pick a k98 if they get to choose between that and an ak47. I would also like to see some hard facts that milita uses the kar 98. Im just not buying it.
But if anything, the Kar 98 really isn't needed, unless you're going with variety.

The Militia faction is likely to be the chechnya rebels > >
Uh .. If Insurgents are so foolish, then why are they able to kill soldiers so perfectly organised and prepared? Like in any army, grunts are cannon fodder and cell leaders like officers stay afar to plan the next attack.
To return on the topic : I'd love to see that weapon as a pickup kit for Militia, but then, that would be a community add and nothing else =/

Because an awful lot of the Middle East has, at one time or another had "Property of Britain" Stamped on it, either as a formal part of the Empire or as a Protectorate, so its awash with Lee-Enfields. In fact, they're still produced locally in the Khyber Pass region of Afghanistan/Pakistan. And So are Martini-Henrys. And lets face it, those are what we really need. Because who wouldn't want to play Project: Zulu?LtSoucy wrote:Why a british gun or german gun. Most groups use russian due to the cost.
The K98 was shipped all over the world following the end of WWII. Both the Soviets and Allies captured massive stockpiles of the rifles and set about arming their allies with them, Militant groups from South America to Vietnam and most places in between have been given K98s over the past half century.
The key to modernising any weapon is covering them in glue and tossing them in a barrel of M1913 rails until they look "Modern" enough.

I do recall the devs stating that the militia are not specifically Chechen. Just in the same manner that the Insurgents aren't necessarily Taliban. Rather, they can represent any of the numerous insurrectionist/rebellious groups and/or organizations around the globe (or more specifically, around that region), be them fictional or real.Tannhauser wrote:The Militia faction is likely to be the chechnya rebels > >/

Have you seen those videos where the taliban are training rigorously or those videos where 11 year olds are practising shooting with aks? Of course in an ambush situation of course they're gonna shoot like that, but I highly doubt Insurgent and rebel groups fight like that in other situations.charliegrs wrote:man are you kidding me? have you ever seen any insurgent videos? it usually goes something like this: insurgent with rpg pops out of hiding, fires off rpg, then usually another insurgent with a PKM pops out and completely UNLOADS the thing in some general direction, then more insurgents with AKS pop out and hold the gun in a really un professional manner and just spray it and pray to allah that it hits someone. its not hollywood stuff man, they really are horrible shots.
Anyway there doesn't seem to be any reason not to have it in game if people wanna make it, as is the same situation with most things.
