Scimitar Cage

Post by Katash »

First off - Tried searching and found nothing, user wiki also mentions nothing, question is :-

The Cage around the Scimitars - Presumably that is to defend against shaped charge warheads - Does it actually do anything in game or is it purely aesthetic, one would imagine due to the limitations of the BF2 engine it would be quite difficult to accuratly simulate the benefits of it?

Is there any physical difference between the 2 models (caged & non caged) in terms of how many hits it can take?

Its seems like that would be unlikely, but maybe the devs pulled it off? Pretty please?

Think someone is gonna have to do some RPG testing on the 2 models

maybe you could up the hit points on the caged version, that way it may take another rpg to destroy it?

I thought there was said a time ago that places where the cage is are stronger,.. with a bigger hitbox or something?..

I thought that it was said on the forums once somewhere?!

I remember something like that too.

i swear i thought it was for riots, if a civilian violence gets too out of hand, it protects the warrior against the infinite rocks thrown?

Technically wouldn't this be unfair since BF2 cant have vehicle hitboxes wouldnt it mean that the same damage reduction happens even when it's hit in a unprotected place?
