The trailer and the hud

Post by dawdler »

n the mid-latter part of the video you show a part of PR we most likely wont see since the first two sequences doesnt follow the same ideal. Will PRMM 0.3 remove the hud?

If the hud is still there, the "trailer" was a fancy display of tampered footage and unsynched sound not representing the mod (sorry but it didnt make much sense even though we heard alot of the sweet M16). But of course this is common practice for game developers.

In the end, you should follow the standards you just set ;)

you want the hud removed completely?

the video was filmed on PRMM 0.2 + hotfix, as for the next release i cant say for sure but i think some elements of the hud will still be there, and while you might object to a hud on "realism" basis there are some pieces of information that have to be conveyed to the player, theres no other effective way to let a player know for instance how many mags hes got for his M4, so while the hud may be unrealistic taking it out would take away the players knowledge of things hed normally know in real life

A ~1 second long popup when you reload?
Listing ammo in the change weapon popup?
Making the player scream out that he's short on ammo when 1 mag left?

I know when I'm deep in it and I am loading my last mag, the last thing I need is for the enemy to hear me yelling "I am short on ammo!!"
