The M82A1 is a specialty weapon that is deployed in SPECIAL circumstances, you won't see it in a conventional battle 99% of the time. It is used when sniper teams must destroy a heavier target or need it's advantages in range and power. When a sniper (If they are) is deployed during a conventional battle they will 99% of the time carry a M40 or a similar bolt action or a semi-auto rifle. In RARE occasions the M95 is deployed from what I've heard because it is a lighter version of the .50 BGM sniper.

The only thing that pisses me off is that there are not enough opportunities to use the sniper kits in PR, thats the kit I've used the most before I got into PR. To get pactice with it for long range shots you'd have sit and hang out where you can request it, if even it becomes available. So yeah if I knew where to find one I'd go for it if thats what I would have to do to get a sniper kit.
I love the sniper kit and love to use it like a real sniper, shoulda seen me and jarhead crawling around on Ghost Train for the whole map taking out strategic targets and poping officers (gota love those green berets they wear) and had a lot of fun.

I have nothing against snipers, just don't think the M82 is realistic for the setting.

T.A.Sharps wrote:Yeah I don't really care about the M82, I just wish the sniper kits could be more available. Wish there was some kind of unlock with experiance for it, all I played in vbf2 was sniper. So now I'm having to go through withdrawls.

However, the scoped rifle kits help me get a little "scope fix" to ease the separation pains more now.
Comments like these will get you beaten up around here, and yes, I am "Sniper Hater". Why? Cause they are arrogant 5 year old ***** who believe they're above the everyone else on the team. They hang around the base all day waiting for the kit, when they do, they run to the nearest flag and get themselves killed within 5 minutes.

I hope you understand.

This topic has gone off subject. I was asking about the removal of the M82, now what are we talking about? How everyone hates snipers?
