BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooooooooooooooo..................
I loved that map, yes it would need a lot of tweeking, much like OMAN WIC was, but I think it would make an excellent assault map with expanded boarders. Put one team inside the city, another has to capture a centrally located flag or two. Allow access to rooftops. It would be an absolutely brutal slugfest. I'd love to see two versions of it in fact, one majorly asymetrical with insugents/militia holding the city and another with a fully armed MEC in the city. 64pp both ways.
I explored the out of bounds area back when you could still spawn in the red and not die and I am disapointed at how much work went into that map and you can't use it in vBF2.

I agree, but that is not the faul of the map, its the limitations placed on the great terrain available. Imagine if you had access to the hills to the west of the town, or if you could cross the harbor to the east. Think of the tank traps you could set up from the roof top of the tall buildings.
Ah, Farks, I think you're wrong, I've been in some amazingly pitched battles in PR, maps like EJOD where you're battling out for the city center or even the gas station can be brutal. The bodies literally pile up on OMAN and Basrah on 32 or 16 map with 64 players. 7Gates once you're inside the temple is brutal. Ghost train when two well played teams are going for the CPs on either side of the bridge is carnage. Sunset village at the city wall is nuts. The fishing village on Qwai always results in a bloody mess.Farks wrote:if you want action packed gameplay you've come to the wrong place.
The only time there is not a nice slug fest in the middle of the map is when one team is organized and the other is a bunch of noobs. When that happens its boring for both sides.
