One more if you like...

Post by Pence »

Hi im new here as obvious as it is and i have a suggestion for the British fraction; Just recently the British army has been equiping its soldiers Helmet-mounted electronic gunsights that alows them to shoot round courners without exposeing themselves.

I wonder if this is at all possable..

Not sure if this is a good thing to add personally. Not only the coding to make it possible, but who wants to play as the enemy when you have a weapon like this? Only way to balance it would be by making it possible to have the gun be disabled by enemy rounds, which Im sure is impossible with the BF2 engine anyways...

Worth asking thogh, and no thats not the same as what i am looking at.
Its a British soldier kneeling down holding his SA80 round the courner (the SA80 has a large scope on the top witch i suppose has a camra in), his helmet has a camoflarged box type thing on it that just covers his eyes and can be lifted up and locked in that position.

And who wants to play anyone else when you can be British?

hmmmm, how about this...
the soldier using the kit can shoot around corners allright but they have considerably less ammunition and the visual display will obviously be restricted, perhaps something along the visual restriction of the SAM display.

obviosly only his rifle equipped with the camera can do the corner shot, and it should be a valid object to shoot at just like his hand.

still not enough?, give a set time delay to deploy the helmet display and to undeploy it, meaning... if ur caught while ur display is still on from any other direction other than the corner ur looking at, then ur screwed.

oh, and since firing around the corner this way is not exactly an ideal firing position, introduce a reduced accuracy as well, how is that?

Still not enough? ok, this is something i just thought recently, but perhaps have been mentioned before in the forum, is there a way to introduce different spawn refresh time for different side? even better, different class? I've always been thinking that a different spawn time might be enough to balance this whole problem of one side having superior equipment to the other. Adjust the point system as well, a well equipped guys ought to worth more than a lesser one. Heck for that matter, the tickets should work differently as well, a dead USMC marine should drain more than a dead PLA soldier, that combined with longer respawn time might just be enough to warrant the better gear.

I believe it's called the F.I.S.T. It's a very new design that will not be introduced for many years.
It also features many other features but is a bit messy with wires sticking in and out.

This is true - it is currently at the ITDU - Infantry Trials and Development Unit - and it is only in its infancy - it will be a long way of - IF it comes into service?
