Patch 0.4 for me.
First map ever played: Zhanjiang security map...or something like that?
First spawn ever in the game, USMC Main base on that map and after spawning walking North up the road to the bridge passing a burning tank.
Now the sounds from the flames and battle sounds from the other side of the river on that map + the graphical environment too gave me some sort of flash back from my previous military live...thus in that very moment i was hooked.
And I am still playing today. Actually thinking about joining the military again...due to the fact that the home guard in my country has opened up the Urban-Warfare Instructor-School again.
Think this modification, regardless of how stupid it might sound has inspired me to consider that. Have just learned a lot of stuff – mostly from participating in the tournament though.
Played vanilla for like ½ a year or more before downloading Project Reality. Vanilla never made me hooked in anyway...only frustrated actually.

Define irony. A bunch of guys playing PR year after year. A game teaching initiative as the prime mover.
However, in regard to EA, these guys never took the initiative.

Ive played it since it was still a "minimod"
It was pretty much the first mod to come out so thats why I dlded it. The first releases were a bit crappy tbh but it soon evolved into a nice mod. I miss Muttrah City tho, and this map that sets in this jungle (USA vs PLA) which I cant remember the name of.

Can't remember, it's been so long agooooooo... I answered 0.1, it was at the begenning with just a few modifications.
I remember the first time I shot with a MP5 to a rifle, stressed by the difficulty of such a fight, but he died so quick !! I was already really good. But the mod was boring with time cause it needed a lot of work and improvments.
Played BF2v again but after time it was boring too, cause... it's vanilling. I looked for a low price full pack extension (SF etc), but it's almost impossible to find. So I got back to check PR advances, the 0.5 got out the next day. Since then, I spend more than 99% of the time on BF2 playing PR !
Thanks again Devs !
