Everything else is default. i just have set the mouse speed to 1.8

Man, I think I've remapped everything...

I never use WASD, I always use ESDF, so I can use QWRTYAGHZXCVB much much easier. You can disagree, but that's just how I feel about it ;) .


My current config:
ESDF=movement
W=VOIP
Y=global chat
U=team chat
I=squad chat
R=reload
T=use
Q=cycle weapons (I fly with keyboard, just don't fly that much ;) )
Z=free look
V=commo rose 1
B=commo rose 2
,=Commander VOIP
Caps=run
Shift=crouch
Ctrl=prone
Tab=stats

etc, etc, etc...

Unposted keys are probably default, or I just cant remember atm ;) .
Ah, and A and G would be used for leaning, but well... ;)

Edit: yes, I'm left handed. And right-handed.. it's a bit weird. Do some things with left, others with right. Makes no sense at all. I write with left, play tennis with left, but basketball and soccer with right. My right side is much stronger than the left... Maybe my left side is my... tender side... ooh, ladies ;) .

I got a MX510 mouse with two thumb buttons. I use the little one for kit pick-up and the large for reloading. Mouse wheel click gives me the sidearm (weapon item 2). This was perfect in BF1942, since all classes had a pistol (so I'd fire one shot with bolt action rifle, switch to pistol and shoot like crazy if I didn't headshoot 'em). In PR, I normally end up with a shovel, so maybe I should remap it ...

Binocs = G
Map = V (I got big hands, but when moving from wasd-position to M, the wrist is strained).
Crouch = Ctrl
Prone = < AND Z (To make sure I hit fall to the ground ;) )
Commo-rose = R
VOIP = B / M

To the arrow key boys: Are you all left handed? Or do you move your keyboard to left on your desk while playing? I play on a laptop, and it would've been pretty awkward to play with the arrow keys.

I'm using WASD, with Left ALT as my TS. Can't get ingame VoIP to play nice yet, that's the next major fix on my list, so I haven't remapped that yet.

I'm definitely going to try out ESDF, I've been toying with that idea for a bit, and it will definitely give me more buttons to press (and oh how I love buttons).

BloodBane, there's a thread (recently posted) called something like "ultimate mic/voip fix" or whatever. Maybe you can take a look there, might have a solution for you?

I use S/X for forward/backward and Q/W for strafing... now who's got better setup than mine? This dates back to Duke Nukem 3D, when I first changed from using arrows to using mouselook. To me it's more anatomically compatible with finger bending planes ;)

I use ESDF for movement, since I use it everywhere else.

The two mouse thumb buttons are for sprint and prone. The thumb button for prone is something I got used to back in Desert Combat, where pronediving was the name of the game - I don't actually go around PR diving everywhere like a maniac, especially not in .7 where it doesn't work.

Rest of the keys:

W = enter/exit vehicle
R = Reload
A = Primary commorose
G = Squad VOIP
Z = Commander VOIP
X = Map (been using this one way before .7 came about)
C = Minimap/map zoom
H = Secondary commorose
V = Kit pickup
B = Parachute
N = OH GOD I'M BLEEDING TO DEATH a.k.a. field dressings
Shift = crouch

I also have my joystick set up for flying without using the keyboard. HAT switch up is expand map, hat switch down is zoom map. One of the side buttons is VOIP. Weapons can also be cycled with the buttons on the joystick.

Pic please of how the hell you do that one comfortably? No, Im serious ;) I just sat here for about 2 minutes trying to figure out a comfortable way of doing that and I just really couldnt...

But with esdf, my left pinky rests comfortably on the windows button... no good for me unless I chop it off. wasd it rests right on left control and just under shift, granting access to both of them, without fear of hitting the windows key :)

With ESDF, I have no problem pressing shift with my pinky from ESDF. Nor ctrl, for that matter, which I usually leave unbound in most games, as it's my TS/Vent/whatever key (though I rarely use TS or vent these days). I also honestly find it awkward to press the winkey with my pinky while my fingers are on ESDF. Plus, your pinky naturally rests on the A key anyway.

Maybe I just have big hands or something.

Everything as normal only the weapon slot#1 is mouse thumb#1 and weapon slot#3 is mouse thumb#2 and the mouse wheel klik is parachute

completely custom. arrow keys and surrounding keys. prone, crouch, switch weapons on mouse. makes life way easier. WASD bloooooooooooooooooooows. hehe.
