FH2 surpression Effects in PR

Post by 3===SPECTER===3 »

I have a small glitch that puts FH2's suppression effects into PR. Its probably a disadvantage for me but im keeping it. The reason for my post is because i think this will halp solve the "I SHOT HIM TWICE AND HE PULLS OF A PERFECT ONE SHOT KILL" problem. If you watch the video it does make a difference IMHO.

And i think they are too much, especialy when you stun yourself while engaging a guy near in front of you.

If your talking bout that one part in my video, thats not my own fire doing that... there is another Brit who lights me up at the same time i fire...

I'm not talking about the video only, i mean whenever you fight inside a building, it happens that you "suppress" yourself, in FH2 and in PR. But in PR you are not totaly blind after it.

well in PR people always complain about getting the first shot and still dieing but with FH's suppression i thought it might help solve that problem... It's just my opinion.

well when i experienced it with FH2 having PR effects, i just went to the FH2 Toolbox... go to tools and there should be something like clear cache or something like that.... and After i did that, My bro made some changes to the video setting in PR and now the FH effects are back and i like to play with them lol.

anybody want to comment on wheter PR should use heavier suppresion effects like FH?

This has been discussed before. I am not a fan, I think the changes that were made between 0.6 and 0.7 were very good, and the FH2 was way overdone.

It may be a little over done but im sure with some tweaks it can be implemented well.

its the ONLY way to add suppression into a FPS, maybe a little less, but we need it. NEED it. suppression = better use of fireteams = flanking = teamwork = win!

Guys, the way to fix it is as follows: Start up FH2, then close FH2 all done properly. Thats it. As FH2 uses a custom .EXE it has to reset, if you don´t close it down properly you will get stuffed up effects.

OTT I think unless you are actually getting hit by a bullet then being totally shaken with bad visuals would make sense for at least a second or so

The bit where the brit is completely oblivious to your attempts to kill him is funny, I get that except he turns around after 30 secs of me chasing him and puts a shot in my head

Yes, like Alex6714 said, start FH2(.exe) and close it properly and its sorted.

FH2.exe, among other things, replaces some of the BF2 shaders with custom ones.
If your game closes incorrectly(crash, CTD, whatever) it never has time to put the original ones back.

FH2 effects worked great in 0.6 , in 0.7 they seems over done , since when a bullet past 10 meters away from you , you still get the effect.

we need more effective suppression in pr. right now the effect is little more than annoying.

I think the current suppression effect in PR is good enough. The FH2's one is just super overdone (imo). The current effect in PR is better than the 0.6 one. Or better, you get the effect more than back in 0.6. I really like it :) .

Deinstalled FH2 after the first time I played. I was dissappointed in it. It may be good, but I'm used to PR's greatness and this is what I "expect" from other mods/games now; the number one reason I'm staying with PR, hehe.

Anyhow, it also messed up my controls and gave me some weird vehicle-madness. Re-did my controls and it was gone. Rubbish if it touches your config files!
