I still think that in PR there is no suppression at all... I try to pin guys down but they can still pull of that perfect shot... Im not saying take FH's effect but to make PR's more (if you get what im saying)... PR's effects do nothing to keep my head down... it just lets me know that im being shot at.

I agree with GazzThompson (gun :p ): the suppression effect from FH2 should be implemented (without blatant plagiarism, of course) into PR, although toned down a tad.

I like FH2's effects too. I just like the blur, not so much the grey border. What would be nice is if it was possible to have a lighter effect with bullets and explosions going off further away, but have a much more drastic effect when bullets and explosions come even closer.

its the ONLY way to add suppression into a FPS, maybe a little less, but we need it. NEED it. suppression = better use of fireteams = flanking = teamwork = win!
I agree that we need more suppression, but I don't think that making it impossible to see half the time is the way to do it. Reducing the accuracy of suppressed individuals would be just as effective, and far less annoying.

I could believe that it is hardcoded, but given the new deviation system, and the fact that an effect is applied to people when a bullet hits near them to give the current suppression effect, I also think it's possible that it IS doable.

So any professional opinions around here?

I just reinstalled BF2/PR, it's so much better without the heavy duty suppresion effects and without the sepiatone menu lol

Agreed: I don't want to feel as though I'm an extra in Ice Cold in Alex

Same, it should be toned down significantly and tweaked so you don't supress yourself, but something more than we have atm is needed tbh.

Supression relies on inducing a fear of death in players, which you can't induce in a video game, even if you have one life per round, let alone respawning. Therefore I would say some kind of game play mechanic is needed to simulate this effect. But right now in FH2 it feels like your a 14 year old who's been given a gun and dropped in a warzone and is cowering in a corner.

Did you even read the thread? It was mentioned like 3-4 times how to get rid of the effects without reinstalling..
