Sound bug or just me?

Is it only me or the sound is buggy ?

I hear a chopper from behind, look around, but see no chopper. I hear grenades, but no grenades explosion, etc. It is very annoying and misleading.
It looks like I can hear the truck which actually is on other side of the map or at least far enough from my position. Weird. Direction is OK, but distance?

My settings are: Hardware, EAX On, Quality High (and lower tested as well).
