Hey, let me start by saying PR is by far the funnest game I have ever played, you guys have done a great job and I have yet to see anything to come close to this.
Specs(might be important): QX6850, 2x 8800GT, VISTA 64X, 4GB RAM
My computer is brand new and I can run every other game I have fine (BF2, Oblivion, Crysis, Cod4, CSS, DODS and on and on) however when I play PR .7 I always get a blue screen Mid-game. On average I play about 5-20mins and then out of nowhere a freeze then Blue screen. If this is a vista issue then fine but again I am so mad i can't play this game because I love it so much, please if anyone has any advice I'd love some help.
Also, I have already tried running it in Compatibility mode for XP 32-bit SP2 and as an administrator, and nothing has worked thus far.
Crash In-game

UPDATE: I have a Xi-Fi Xtemegamer sound card and I tried setting sound quality to medium, I still crash but no blue screen the comp just reboots itself, also no sound loop. I still am open for suggestions on how to fix it, I've tried everything i know to try

not sure if this applies but - hell you seem desperate:
1. run it as administrator/with admin rights
2. run it with only one core
3. use software sound
4. get DRIVER UPDATES
5. check that ur rigs temp is ok
6. write down the exact message of the bluescreen and google it (use the error code) it might tell you that a certain system file is broken
7. uninstall battlefield + pr - reinstall it
8. perform run "chkdsk c: /R" in cmd respond with Yes if it asks to check after reboot, b/c the file system is in use [CAUTION: this may destroy valueable data {which is already damaged} - perform a backup first {maybe you should read some articles about chkdsk first}]
9. perform a manual PunkBuster update as described in the Help-Section at the apropriate (sticky) threat
Z. reinstall vista (NOT recommendet)
PS: some stuff might be totally unrelated to the symptoms
please report back, what you have tried
edit: look what i found:
Link How to Install
read the "VISTA USERS" marked sections - maybe there is something new for you - like the hotfix
