Ye me too mate, love the "rush" as well.

Sadist cain is a squad leader you should try to play with, when he is really in to it, it's like he plays for you, and you just push the buttons.

But ofcourse there are those damned clan members of his that gets you kicked out of the squad to make room! aaarargh :P

Anyways advice: Go to T&T server, squad leaders/commander must have voip - one of their rules, so you should be able to find some decent squad leaders there..

Haha, sorry about that ;)

Yeah, Cain is an excellent squad leader that very much gets a feel for the game - Infact, I rarely enjoy PR unless I'm in his squad xD

Yeah join up in a clan man. That will help you out in the teamwork sector a lot(make sure you have a MIC though)

There isn't much of an excuse for no microphone these days.

I pickedup my headset for £4 from Tescos back when BF2 was released. The headphones are pretty standard, but they tell you which side the fire's coming from - What more do you want?

The microphone, I find, is better quality than some of these £50 headsets I see floating around!

My headset, looking at the side, is a "Creative HS-300"

I feel that if you can't properly communicate with your squad, please don't join the squad. Yes, there are some squads out there who just form up for the purpose of grabbing limited kits. If that's how you play, join on of those squads. But if you join a squad that is using a lot of comms chatter (other than talking about how their balls itch), and you prefer to just ignore them and do your own thing, then don't be pissed off if you get kicked.

Just set your own squad up with the name being VOIP TW. And give them one chance if they don't follow orders then kick them out the squad. I play on T&T server and have to say most people on there work together.

Honestly, I'm never serious in PR. Screwing around, 'dancing', teabagging. Although not like Bullet Rush said. I never say any of those things :p

Don't hate the player, hate the game
;) naah just kidding

But ultimately video gaming is for FUN. Most people play to have FUN. FUN is different from person to person. For some its working as a squad/team to win. To others its getting that legendary sniper kit, finding a perch by yourself, and picking off a few guys as you finish that report for tomorrow.

For instance, as you can see by my sig, some would view knife fights as a waste of time. I prefer to think of them as opportunities to work on my quick draw ;)

True, but when their definition of "fun" consists of throwing rocks at me, IEDing me into orbit, ramming my car off of tall drop offs, etc., my idea of "fun" becomes emptying my SKS into them. I must have shot at least a dozen civilians on my own team today for being idiots.

And for some reason, it is strangely popular for people to follow you around and stare at you and not say anything... and then shoot you in the leg and stand there looking at you. ???

All I want to know is how to MUTE the commander VOIP when they are an 8 year old kid rambling or yelling in my ear. Please tell me how. Also give me a secret command to be able to mutiny the commander for god sakes. Some of them are HORRIBLE.

As I already said - throwing rocks at me. It'll still kill you, just a lot slower. And I don't mean random accidents, the dudes are trying their damndest to stone me to death while I'm trying to fight the enemy.

LOL - half off you smart asses would try to mute senior folks. Just cause they sound gay, or you feel they are gay. Some of them are female, the other half might be 5 years younger than you.

Then "we" gripe that nobody wants to lissen and everybody joins in that those doesn't follow orders are idiots. Ah, the PR way. Don't you just love it?

So how do you like them stats?

Sometimes even the best players aren't serious though. Or not serious enough for everyone else. I bring some instances to light from last night on the iGi server playing Qwai River. iGi were on the chinese side

1) Whilst going for a kit off the bunker at the Village CP, I notice there are a couple of enemy soldiers inside it, one a sniper, the other SF possibly. So I let rip on full auto and kill the SF guy in the doorway and my gun goes empty. I quickly switch the C4 and throw it through the door, then belatedly remember the 5 second arming delay and the time it would have taken me to reload my rifle. So I blew the bunker, our bunker, catching me and a squad member (incidently our clan CO) in the explosion and reducing the bunker to its base. When asked why, I screamed and typed "I hate snipers"

2) When we were attacking Pigfarm for the umpteenth time I was frustrated at the lack of firepower hitting the base and the two choppers on the pad, one of which was warming up, with a fellow clan member in it (he was only one on their side from our clan) and I drove my apc at the base in a beeline for the chopper, unfortunately the gunner couldn't hit the chopper as it was a bumpy ride, so I just decided I'd run the chopper down! Unfortunately we got on the flat a half second before I rammed the chopper, my gunner fired destroying the chopper and when I hit it the secondary evaporating exploision was so great it wrecked our apc, killing about 4 or 5 of us. There were a few squeals from the gunner and passengers but I wasn't letting that LB Gunship off the ground :)

3) In our main, one of my clan ran from spawning, firing shots off into the air. I spun and put a long burst into him. I mean, who is going to negligently discharge their weapon in their own cp? I assumed it was enemy infiltration going for our assets. If you look or sound suspicious I'm going to kill you! And everyone whose played with me knows my accidental kill count is legendary :) So, whilst waiting to respawn, I move over to a group in another squad waiting for a vehicle and stand in line with them. two of them look at me dodgily and then decide to circle me, guns aimed at me, so I proffer my C4 package at them, showing them I am harmless. My clanmate respawns, runs round the corner and lets rip in my direction trying for revenge but the sudden shots make the two from the other squad cut me down and my clan member accidentally guns down one of them.

You see, these incidents occur with the most serious of players from time to time (well, they seem to happen to me all the time) and after all, it is a game, and you have to have fun!

Instances like Mr.D just outlined are hillarious, but tend not to happen with serious gamers if they have a serious squad leader that is driven and not tactically challenged.

If you're moving up in formation through a woods on foot, with a squad chopper in CAS, you're not likely to do any crazy stuff like that :P
