Mk14 Mod 0 / M14 EBR?

Post by wolfi »

I was wondering if anyone wants to see an Mk14 Mod 0 (also called M14 EBR) in this mod?
(search function didnt bring up any matches on this one)

It could be used for the US engineer guys or something like an additional spec ops kit or whatever. Don't get me wrong, the new M16A4 is awesome but why not add some more variation in the arsenal

Wiki says
The United States Navy Mark 14 Mod 0 Enhanced Battle Rifle (EBR) is an American selective fire military rifle chambered for the 7.62x51mm NATO cartridge, a variant of the Springfield Armory M14, built for use with units of United States Naval Special Warfare Command, Marine Corps Special Operations Detachment 1, and Marine Corps Force Reconnaissance. The weapon was designed and created by Sage International, Ltd. in cooperation with Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, to fulfill a five-year Crane contract for a modernized, product improved M14 rifle system.
I think it's a beautiful new clothing for the good old M14, who else does? :-)

I would love to see it in game but it will never happen.

If it says spec ops the devs hate it. ;)

isnt this BASICALLY what the marksman rifle is? this is basically just a heavily modified m14 right? and isnt that what the marksman uses? {in a more basic form} and if you gave this to an engineer, then wouldnt you have a marksman-engineer?

Heheh, I don't really have hopes or something ;) It was just an idea to bring in some more variation and add one more weapon to the big pool of toys. If I could decide, I would put a holosight on it and give it to the pioneer class. Semi auto is good, and 7.62 would add a neat counterpart to those 7.62mm AKs. Anyways, just a thought.

This has been suggested before. Search doesn't always work with acronyms, M# or Mk# designations. :)
