they are not useless, if used right, they are one of the best kits, but using them just in the direct frontline is ofcause not effective, but if you hide, destroy things with your slams, hide agian, they are very usefull, especially since they can devend while reloading the rifle with there pistol, which is a great bonus, and well, since the soflams have got so mighty in this version, they have an extra bonus
I agree. Way too many peeps think the spec ops kit is worthless, when its really just good at a specific job, which none on of them like to do. I don't like to sneak around all game either, but I realize that it is possible and could be very helpful to your team.

I'd have thought Anti-Personnel kits counted for every kit in game with a gun? ;)

True enough, I'd like to see the Spec-Ops get a grappling hook, perhaps as well as the Engineer?

Ant-Personnel is kinda stupid, having a kit that's specific intent is to have a shotgun would be good though, it always comes in useful in forest maps.

I disagree with Spec ops being useless, but I don't know how it's justified to be in game. I thought the whole mixing spec ops with conventional army was unrealistic? Or is it portraying a recon role?

I imagine something so simple as re-naming the kit would alter the stigma with regards to how to should be played.

Well, at least they used to be "useless" without body armor and soflam. I know, "useful" isnt the right word, but until 0.7 an engineer really could do the job. I forgot about them having soflam and flash bangs now, so sorry, yes they improved now. But stil... noone seems to like the kit...

Well, probably engine-limits, number of players and map-size stuff.

spec ops are fine as they are atm, i and jaymz have both had fun with the chinese 1,

additionally i have had even more fun and been 1337$4uce spec ops with fuzz as his spotter body guard,

managed to stealthily knife a rally an engi reparing warrior and then take out the warrior with slams, then had to switch to my carbine and out shot the enemy officer and one of his squaddies,

over all spec ops are pretty cool atm, so leave em :D
