Define irony. A bunch of guys playing PR year after year. A game teaching initiative as the prime mover.
However, in regard to EA, these guys never took the initiative.

I have been playing commander more recently and enjoying it. I guess it is better, just didn´t play commander much before. 
Only frustrating thing at the moment are squads who do nothing and the asset bug.
