Can anyone transfer installation file?
First off, let me apologize, as I don't think this is in the right section.
Can anyone transfer the PR 0.7 installation files to me over Xfire? Whenever I try to download PR off a website, I have to wait about 3 days for the download to finish due to my **** internet. If I just had the file directly transferred through xfire, it could probably be done within 10-20 mins. Anyone whos willing to help? My xfire username is mastertrix56 (I made it a looong time ago) and Im on right now.
Many thanks!

do you know what bittorrent is?
use it. you can pause the download whenever you want and resume when your ready. get a bittorrent client and use this to download the files:

Limewire < Utorrentcfschris wrote:Ive done the bittorrents for PR before thru Limewire, and it still took a ridiculous amount of time, due to the large amount of people all downloading off the same host. If someone could just spare a small bit of their time and xfire transfer.....
Torrents work best with lots of people.

I don't believe you can actually download torrents with Limewire and not use a torrent client like uTorrent or Azureus, you may be able to download the .torrent file to use in the clients, but not the actual torrent.cfschris wrote:So is Utorrent a ton faster than limewire with torrents?
As far as speed goes, it really depends on your connection and the peers/seeds in any one particular torrent. If your connection is slow, no matter what you do or where you go it's still going to be slow. No matter how big somebody's connection is, they still can't force more shit down your tiny pipe that it can allow. IE: If somebody on a T1 line is sending you a file on 56k, you're sure as hell not going to get T1 speeds.
If a file takes a long time, do what I used to do and get a download manager type program like Flashget, or just use the Torrent where you can pause and resume at will.
You may want to take some time out of your day and learn a few things about computers and the internet. =)

I very good idea to do so while your waitng for that file (just like everyone else) 2gig takes a long time unless you have eleet fiberoptic 10mb/s line. just because you methods change dosn't mean your hardware will.Kinote wrote: You may want to take some time out of your day and learn a few things about computers and the internet. =)
