I'm not sure what's wrong with the G3 now. Every time I get involved in a shooting match and I have the G3 I lose. Its shots just seem to move off target, the other guy has no probs hitting me in the head with his M16 but no matter how long I sit still my shots will veer off a few meters. I tried with the M16 and it doesn't happen, when I sit still with that my shots go where I aim them. So now I always swap to an enemy kit when I'm on MEC.

ok I just have to say this..
It's two different things looking at somebody shooting the G3 and being the one looking down the sights and being the one shooting it.. the recoil might look close to insignificant when watching people shooting it, but believe me when you are looking down the sights and the round goes out your sight has moved quite a bit...

4 Words.... You are an idiot.RHYS4190 wrote:You made the M16 into a one of the best guns ever depicted in a video game it looks absolutly fantastic.
Devs latest patch you went a little bit over board with the G3, it bucks like your firing an elephant gun, the accuracy is now not so good could not good.
Go shoot a G3 in real life and maybe I'll take you half seriously. This seems like a dumb comment of someone who has never shot a firearm before.

The recoil on a rifle (or assault rifle) pushes backwards and hence pushes the butt of the gun into your shoulder. Due to the angle of holding the gun you would literally have to let go of your stabilizer hand from the pommel in order for it to go upwards like it does in the game. Does it go up slightly? Yes. Does it go up as far as it's shown in the game? Probably not.Soulja wrote:4 Words.... You are an idiot.

Recoil from a pistol is different due to the fact that you are holding it with a hand and the fulcrum point is the wrist and hence it's natural for the recoil to force your wrist upwards and hence the barrel goes upwards.
So let me recap. Rifle recoils straight back and only slightly up. Pistol recoils back and up.
Conclusion, your comment sucks and you need to stop talking out of your ***.
Single shot rifle will not do this. Put it on semi-auto and fire a 3 round burst I might be willing to see it if the person firing the weapon is a 100 lbs weakling that can't hold onto the weapon. Full auto will move you upwards pretty quick if you don't have a damn strong grip on the weapon and your stance isn't solid. Obviously the weapon in question has a factor. After all the AK-47 kicks harder than the M-16 for obvious caliber reasons. Same as a .22 will kick less than a 30-06.
And the answer to your most likely come back question would be. Yes I have fired them.

Have you ever shot a G3 or even a rifle?Probably not.
HAHA!So let me recap. Rifle recoils straight back and only slightly up
read my previous post.. when looking at someone shooting the G3 the recoil may seem "not all that", but looking down the sights the thing is shifting around pretty heavily! It's bad enough on the shooting range when you have time and possibility to find a comfortable position, but in combat..Conclusion, your comment sucks and you need to stop talking out of your ***.

I second my fellow Norwegian Arneboe. It seems that people don't really know what they're talking about.
FYI: The G3's "line of recoil" - for lack of a better term - is above the point where the stock meets the shoulder, so the muzzle will rise much more than an M16. Same goes for the AKs and the M14.

More guns and bullets make bad guys go away faster,
which in turn makes everyone in the area safer.

He is the same guy, that bitched, how M16A2 sucked against G3 in 0.6 and how it's supposed to be super accurate and have stopping power (5.56mm?) and probably quotes the movies and Hollywood somewhere along the line..Soulja wrote:4 Words.... You are an idiot.

Uh huh...... Or maybe the 5.56 is accurate and I've shot both rifles. He's making it out like the G3 isn't supposed to kick and I know it wouldn't go up like that in reality but in the middle of a battle your recoil control isn't up to par anyway. I'll agree it's a little overdone on semi but it's perfect on full.Outlawz wrote:He is the same guy, that bitched, how M16A2 sucked against G3 in 0.6 and how it's supposed to be super accurate and have stopping power (5.56mm?) and probably quotes the movies and Hollywood somewhere along the line..

Well now that we're all over the "waaah recoil is too high for my 1 hit kill weapon! I cant pwn jOO anymore" argument....
I think the FN FAL would've been a more realistic choice for the MEC, but that's just me. I would like to see a FAL/L1A1 for the insurgents in the future however.... would be a nice touch...

I've shot a L1A1 before, it doesn't kick that much (and keep in mind back when I shot this I had little to no firearm experience so for an experienced user like a soldier...), then again, apparently the G3 has a violent recoil due to it's design.Soulja wrote:4 Words.... You are an idiot.
