That's SLAMRAAM (Surface Launced AMRAAM). Contract was awarded in 2004, so it will be a while before it sees service with the Army and Marines.

The HMMWV-based Avenger Pedestal Mounted Stinger system is in service, however, and is definitely a contender for the mod.

Pretty impressive piece of machinery. Though I dont think US will have to worry about ground-to-air equipment as of now, still a good peice of equipment to have.

BTW, nooooo, it looks like they used an F-4 as a test dummy
