Laser designator for Scout helos?

How about it? The scout helos like the Littlebird are quite useless on maps like Kashan etc. How about adding the optics that you see on the tanks for the co pilot, but no missiles. This mean they are much more like their real life counterparts, skulking around finding targets for the apaches, who cannot see as far. They can lase targets and use the zoom, but have no offensive capability themselves except guns. I am thinking more of the Kiowa and the Lynx here, but the LB is often set up for recon too.

Uh...did you actually try this? Because the LBs all have it.

The chinese helo does not, haven't checked on the MEC helo. But both are better armed than the LBs (except for the fully decked out LBs on Zatar).

And no, the LB is not used as a scout helo anymore. But as a stand-in for the OH-58 it does fill this role anyhow.
