Congratulations! Second place is a damn fine finish in any race. This is the end to a great chapter of PR's history, but we have yet to even crack the epic book that it will become.

Hell yeah, figured PR has earnt that right now. Two years running that we've finished second, the DEVs have made a hell of an effort!
Congratulations to everyone who's put something tangible into making the mod what it is, and thanks to everyone who's put their support and playing time into it!

there is nothing wrong with second place. Even though many of us think this is the best mod you can't please everyone.
Second place is awesome, there are hundreds of mods competing (probably all the best/most popular ones are included) and if you get second place then that's damn good.
So congratulations! The devs might not be complete noobs after all.

I'm sad and happy at the same time.
Well, the last games I had playing Insurgency weren't that good. PR deserved the first place, but, well, 2º is not bad at all.
Congrats PR TEAM.
WAIT WAIT WAIT.
It is just the players choice, this first results are not the "officials".

INS Mod got first place!? Now way! I played that thing for roughly a month and it aboslutely stunk! For a realism game there was no teamwork at all. Just people with guns moving in the same direction as you. It was counter-strike with one hit kills. The source engine just cannot model the maps needed to really enjoy that kind of gameplay. Don't get me wrong, they worked really hard for five years to create it and did an excellent job doing it all, but PR is definatly bounds above INS as far as realism mods go.
Still, considering all the mods out there - especialy those that just released, getting 2nd place is a huge deal. Congrats DEVs!

only 40 players playing INS and 200 playing PR when the winnings where announced...Sabre_tooth_tigger wrote:They just had more players because of HL2, insurgency looks good but it doesnt play as well imo
was probaly more the fact that INS had 5 years of "hype" behind it and more HL2 players play/try mods, if you look at the total votes for each game, HL2 was 1st with BF2 coming 2nd.

RANGERS LEAD THE WAY!!!
Do not post stupid suggestions just because you had a bad round in PR
