Suggestion: How about moving text to the bottom of the screen?

I think the top is better, don't look at the sky as much as the ground.

I find the QM chat useful so I know what kit not to bother requesting. Although it is annoying when someone spams every kit request and all of them are full.

Please please please remove the text or at least give us the option to display it or not.

It is nothing but a distraction in game and takes the realism away from it. Since when do soldiers text each other in a fire fight, its all done over the radio (VOIP).

I use team chat to instantly notify all team members a grid location of enemy, FOBs, and mines.

While you can use VoIP to notify others just like in the military, information doesn't get to everyone in time just like the military.

Team chat let's you instantly notify the entire team of important tactical information. And it's very reliable as you only rely on yourself to get that information out. Very useful for recon units.
