breathing when using guns
so what if we used a program that moves that mouse to make it look like the player is breathing, like a mouse recorder, instead of using a animation? also so you dont look the a tank is breathing, it would shut off if you were using something that wouldnt be effected by breathing. would do you guys think?
if this works you could also have more then one kinda of mouse movement, one that looks like the player just ran and another that looks like the player has been sitting for sometime.

Mouse recorder? Link? Those exist? Im sure it wouldnt work. it'd do it while running, etc. Youd have to have it change from standing, crouch, and prone. And all the vehicles.
I have never heard of these "programs" and really, I just dont see it working... How would you make sure everyone was using it. It would have ot be a part of PR...
Hmm...

here is a mouse recorder
Macro Recorder / Mouse and Key Recorder
there are like 1000 more just the first one on google, would it be possible to code a mouse player in python, and just make each weapon run it from the tweak file.

Interesting idea...
...So again, somebody try it out.

I'm not sure what you're trying to say there turnpipe. If you're referring to the coded-in-deviation (which is not visible), you're correct.
But its not animated, and therefore somewhat aggravating. I'm not too sure this idea is feasible, at least in its current incarnation, but it certainly wouldn't hurt to investigate.

I think he means... ummm, there was an anti tank in 1942 that swayed. The russian anti tank rifle... I think? Maybe it was on Forgotten Hope 1. Pretty sure at least... Right?Pariel wrote:I'm not sure what you're trying to say there turnpipe. If you're referring to the coded-in-deviation (which is not visible), you're correct.

Deviation is the answer to breathing/getting in firing position (correct me if I'm wrong, but otherwise all my years of firearms training have been absolutely worthless, as have my posts in this thread).
I agree, this will do nothing for the terrible hitboxes. They're there, they suck, we should all get past it. I probably never will, but that's just me.
I still don't understand why you're mentioning the rifle.
I seriously doubt that the mouse program mentioned will work because it does essentially the opposite of the function we want, and the use of the mouse is almost certainly hardcoded into the BF2 engine, meaning it can't be played with (or it would already be programmed for breathing). As said above though, I have only the bare bones knowledge of this subject, so I could definitely be wrong.

The Old EA Games "Battlefield 1942" sniper rifle was hard too control.Pariel wrote:I'm not sure what you're trying to say there turnpipe. If you're referring to the coded-in-deviation (which is not visible), you're correct.

The sniper crosshair made some what of a figure 8 motion.

seriously you can try it but from what i know about mouserecorders (experimented with the a while ago) they get more and more inaccurate for every second... if you run it during a whole game not only might it start swaying wildly from side to side but it will also create a sort off lag cus every time you try to move the recorder will kick in and start and stop you all the time also what happens with the recorder in vehicles.
and if you manage to incorporate this you also have to incorporate a button that simulates holding your breath.

The only reasonable way of representing deviation and calming down after running would be putting in an animation of weapon that plays as long as ur aim sux or just a simple Color INdicator.
Besides, such a programm is hard to do and, although not impossible, getting it through pb would be a hell of a job.
The only thing that would be actually useful if coded outside of PR would be a TS plugin of some sort, that switches u into the right channel and so on
