This widscreen really makes my fps very poor, I give up.
I can only use it on empty kashan server.
22".
Its a 1680 x 1050 screen ,can i put 1440 x 1050 in the shorcut to lessen the res.
Otherwise i give up.
Besides my binocular look still sucks and damn you EA.
Thanks-

I'd say EA/Dice are horrid failures for never including proper support for widescreen monitors (as in 'Hor +' support). Heck, they included support for higher sound quality and whatnot on those X-Fi cards which I'm going to go out on limb and say are not as commmon among BF2 (and mods) players as widescreen monitors are.unrealalex wrote:if anything I'd say widescreen resolutions without the program enabled are hacks because they give you more depth that normal, am I right?

Well, I've tried it and am quite impressed with the increased view to the sides.
I'm finding a couple of problems though. It's great for fairly close combat, but if you are in a long range firefight, it feels like you have zoomed out and the enemy seem even further away.
The other problem, and it could be my pc, but when I raise my sights, it's great, zoomed in quick with no problems. But when I lower them, it seems to go back to the original resolution for a split second before going back into the widescreen fixed version.
I'm using version 1.40, @ 1920x1200, the update rate is set to the far left (1) which I think is the fastest refresh rate, as it is even worse when I take the slider to the right.
I'm using two 8800 gtx cards in sli mode so I don't think they are the problem.
Anyone else getting the same problem?

According to the release notes for the program, that quick delay is normal; everyone gets the same thing.
You can set up a toggle on/off key to switch from close quarters/long distance mode during play.'Lexus@[gp wrote:;593648']It's great for fairly close combat, but if you are in a long range firefight, it feels like you have zoomed out and the enemy seem even further away.
