Text spam and the commander consol

Hello,

I know you try reducing text in the HUD. And i noticed the commander has a little shoutbox in the bottom left of his consol screen.

Even though i don't mind the chat personally, i want to ask;
Is there any way you can give that chatbox to the normal soldier, give it an own hotkey or implement it somewhere?

Possible downside - getting someone's attention will be much harder,
possible upside - in addition to removing text from the HUD, chat stays longer than a minute, easier keeping track of what's been said. Scrolling the command consol for chat-history is tedious(?) work.
