Black house on Qwai, My whole squad saw it too!

Ok I was walking about qwai leading a full squad, when we came across this house. I said "Ok? Guys come check this out". Then I got a "uhhhh Squad Leader do you see the house there?", everyone on my sqaud said that they also saw this weird graphics artifact which is proof that It was not just my machine screwing up.

The location is pretty obvious, as you can see the Mountain base in the backround.

Location 2
Another location is here on Al Basrah, this rooftop far south west of the city center...

Yeah i get the same problem with that house always as well. I always thought it was just me. Good to see its not.

Thats old master Chens place...he shields it from noobs by making a dark matter shield so that they are afraid to enter..."I" have never actually seen the shield up though.....

i think this is a BF2 Graphical bug. Not much [R-Dev]'s can do about it i think.

That or fudged lightmaps. I just ran lightmaps on mine and got a black building. So Im gonna try deleting the lightmaps for all that type of building and just running those again.

Ill post back here if I remember.

This is not a bug at all i have had this on CSS before but never on PR on either of the maps you said you saw the "bug" on. Its something to do with your graphics card and DX

On topic, I dont know for sure if it card related or lightmaps, but im seriously leaning towards lightmaps as it only happened after I ran lightmaps and it failed halfway. A few objects were all black which makes me think it was due to its crashing during the lightmapping... :shrug: its not a really big deal anyway, its rare enough :P
