Ability to gain normal spawn kits as well after spawn

I'm all for this as long as it is limited to main bases and bunkers/firebases. Otherwise it's just way too exploitable. People would make RPs and just grab medic kits to heal their squad, then grab their AR kit back. Vehicle squads would be able to switch to engineer, fix themselves all up, and be on their merry way. I know the situation, and while for the most part I would say "deal with it", I think that it could work out as long as the kits are somewhat limited.

While the end effect is indeed the same, the amount of time required to accomplish this in the manner you described is far greater than just requesting a base kit and repairing the APC/[other exploit], which is a pretty big deterrent since it becomes impractical to attempt.Jonny wrote:This does give me the idea of suiciding in the middle of nowhere as a gunner and spawning at a firebase as engineer, allowing exactly the same exploit to happen.
It would even work if you have a limited kit because you can just request it when you get done healing your squad/repairing your vehicle.
This signature is here due to lack of imagination.

Could you explain the base reason why you don't want that vehicles could be repaired at firebase/bunker or mainbase?jerkzilla wrote:While the end effect is indeed the same, the amount of time required to accomplish this in the manner you described is far greater than just requesting a base kit and repairing the APC/[other exploit], which is a pretty big deterrent since it becomes impractical to attempt.

While I understand the possibility of exploits I also favor the idea that it can only be done at Bunkers/Fire Bases and Main Base and not Rally Points. Making it even more strict I'd even say just limit it to Main Base only.
My reasoning for this is two fold.
1. With the dash to vehicles that require a special kit to operate such as crewman or pilot kits, often there are people that are left without a vehicle and are now stuck with the kit they took. For these people specifically the ability to choose one of the normal spawn kits would put them back in the game as a helpful soldier instead of them sitting there and waiting half the game for another spawn.
2. Only allowing it at main base also allows squads to have to travel back to their main base in order to switch out kits. I can think of many simple and non-exploit examples.
- You are a SL of your own squad which at the time was yourself and maybe one other person. After some play as an engineer or a sniper/spec ops duo or whatever, you suddenly find yourself as SL of a six man squad. This has happened to be a whole lot. Now normally yes you just go to wherever the closest bunker is or APC or Supply Truck or back to main base and get yourself an officer kit. But what if you just recently got a special kit already? Now you are stuck with it until you die or you wait a very long time. This might remedy that.
- You have spawned in as a Support gunner thinking your squad at the time would be doing some infantry action. Which they were for a bit until suddenly an APC or Tank spawns at main base. Two of your squad mates get crewman kits and take it and now they need an engineer. "But I can't request an engineer kit.", you say. "Well suicide and come back as an engineer.", they say. So 90 seconds later after the suicide penalty you spawn in engineer. Allowing you to get it at main base would mean 90 less seconds to wait.
Ok so only three total examples. But three very common and frequent examples. I understand it's not really enough to change the entire game for. It's just a good idea to think about is all. *shrug* Thanks for entertaining it at least.
