This Is Why I HATE Kashan...

Post by Heskey »

Here's a few screenshots taken from earlier, showing why I HATE this map, when the 'nilla-nubs get their vehicles, and all teamwork goes out the window:

Image

Someone waiting for the Littlebird in his 'AH-6' squad; he must have asked about 4 times in total...

Image

General groaning about the map.

Image

A pilot without a kit; he died in the seat.

Image

This cheeky b**tard disconnected when he saw me looking at him. We removed the mine and off the pilot went. Oh, I must add the Pilot joined our TACTEAM squad which was preventing South Village capture at the start of the round and announced "I'LL BE YOUR A-10 PILOT!!" ... NO!

Image

ABS in BF2 please?

Image

SUPER ace a10 pilot more like; way to use the runway, you're a real winner!

Image

The squadlist was pretty appauling. At the start of the round we had:

TACARMOUR
TANKS
TANK VOIP
ARMOR

.... NO!

Image

Eager beavers took nearly 20 minutes to realise (with encouragement) that they'd missed a flag... Meanwhile half the team were waiting for vehicles at base.

Image

A few mass TKs that occurred.

Image

Some-time into the map, the game looked like that; eventually, we took both bunkers, but 3 tanks decided to have a tea-party north of South Village for some 30 minutes and ended up being destroyed, rather than going in and capping it whilst TACTEAM alone fended off half the MEC at South Bunker...

I HATE KASHAN DESERT

Discuss!

players are hardcoded.

Just because you get on a bad team doesnt mean that the map sucks. It just means that the players do.

I have had some great rounds on this map, and i always look forward to playing it.

I like Kashan, But it has to be said you can have a god damn terrible time on that map.

at least your server tends to have a better playerbase for it.

Still wish there was a way that the commander could release assets to be used by the team rather than n00bs just running to be the l33t pwnzor pilots.

Oh, I forgot to add guys:

1.) This happens MOST rounds on Kashan, this wasn't just 'a bad round', this is a usual round

2.) This was our [T&T] server, with an admin on at the time - Not that WTF Kashan server = /

Thats a real shame, your server is my favourite.

Perhaps you ask to have it removed from rotation, apart from on special days or somthing.

On this certain map the Commander should have the ability to JDAM homebase every 10 minuts without TK penalty, to motivate his troops to follow orders :)

Dude that map is awesome. Ive had mostly a very positive experience with that map. Again i blame it on lack of leadership. Squad leaders need to really whoop that *** if they want their guys to listen.

Wandjina I believe. OH - He was a real smart-one; called TACTEAM from main to near the north Bunker to build a firebase, before realising "OH WAIT, I DIDN'T BUILD A CP AT BASE, LOL".

I can't see what difference it makes though; people tend not to listen to the Commander, especially on Kashan and Quinling :'(

Commanders are important too. I think you'd be surprised how a lot of these guys react when someone is telling them how to play because part of the reason this happens is because they really dont know what its like to play a REAL pr round.

But is all else fails....

I can understand WHY you hate Kashan that doesn't necessarily mean its a bad map. In fact its one of the best maps in PR second to Qinling because of the lack of the A10.

There have been some KILLER Kashan matches where A10 pilots and F16 pilots worked together, Where Infantry Lased for them and the Helo Choppers defended the Air over bunkers. Commanders do their part and build Firebases and Bunkers. The best time to play Kashan is during Primetime hours (8pm-12am EST)
