Did a search.....but I would be surprised if it hasnt been discussed.
I think a chenoweth or some form of FAV would serve a purpose on larger desert maps such as Kashan.
In maps such as this, the tank(if unchecked by average pilots) has the ability to pretty much snipe anything from way down town with both the main gun and secondary.
The humvees and Vodniks are way to slow.
Introduction of the chenoweth or some form of FAV and an equivalant for the MEC would have the advantage of speed, but but be extremely vulnerable to fire.
I understand that most of the chenoweths are now privately owned, but there are varios types of FAVs or IFAVs in use today.
Input?

I don't see that being either realistic, or any more effective. A tank/APC can still take it out, and realistically its speed shouldn't be significantly higher than any of the vehicles already in the game.
By the way, for those of you wondering what a "Chenoweth" is, it's the Desert Patrol Vehicle--Chenoweth was the manufacturer. But maybe I'm the one on the outside on this one.

Googling Chenoweth got me a woman
But yeah, I've been vehement that we bring back the FAV jeep for the MEC -- they're fictional after all. Would be very awesome to see them zipping around suppressing the enemy.
Dev's say it's up to the mappers.

The effect is a faster, yet realistic mode of transport in the desert.Pariel wrote:I don't see that being either realistic, or any more effective. A tank/APC can still take it out, and realistically its speed shouldn't be significantly higher than any of the vehicles already in the game.
as I stated....very vulnerable to fire....but would be a faster mode of transport to those forever away bases....as in Kashan and the like.

It has been discussed before, but if you used those terms, you probably wouldn't have found much. "FAV" is too short to trigger the search engine and it's spelled "Chenowth."

Why the Hell does everything have to have an "equivalent?"
