I believe it was yesterday, but I can't really trust my shoddy memory too much, I played in a tacteam squad on zatar wetlands with Cain, Heskey and other peeps, defending the Village pretty much the whole round and I'll tell you, that was a blast. Non-stop action with someone at your side, squeezing an IV of adrenaline into your bloodstream.
The USMC threw everything they had at us, APCs, infantry, little birds on continous missile runs, it was hell, but we stuck in there, thanks to Cain and his command, which went something like this:
"SHOVELS! I NEED SHOVELS!"
"Contacts at 30, 75, 140, 220, 300, 350, we're pretty much f-ing surrounded!"
"...I AM CALM, I AM CALM"

Thanks guys, you make an already great game even better :)
I was in the squad for that one too :D We owned that village, they threw everything at us but we held out for aaaaaaaaaaaages. Not usually a fan of Zatar as MEC, but we had a great round

I quite liked it when we managed to shoot down the rotor of that nose-diving missle-littlebird, and we were like "GET TO THE WRECKAGE! GUNS ON AUTO, NOW!" reminded me of that scene from Black Hawk Down when the Militia start swarming the Blackhawk wreck and firing.

But yeah, a reminder to you folks who enjoy playing with us! Why not visit us at Tactics & Teamwork :: "Like Minded Gaming" become a part of the team and do it full-time? ;)

ROFL!! That's excellent lol that was my leading in a nutshell for that round lol sorry I can't stop chuckling at that.

I loved how we're being pounded by a Littlebird, from north and south we had an enemy squad and two APCs rolling in, and STILL we kept our bunker up and kept repairing the AA.

God that was an awesome round of Zatar

AND TO JUST TO BALANCE THINGS UP A BIT...........

I had my worst ever round on the T&T server. Mestia. Militia. Medic.

Absolutely no teamwork, cohesion, communication whatsoever. Our squad was spread all over the map. Repeated requests to the SL to at least group us together met with silence. Then, after being killed for the umpteenth time cos I was all on my own I decided to join a squad member on a ridge, so I "typed" to him that i was approaching his six. No response......I gave him room and approached from the right so he could see me. No response.....I stood about 3 metres from him, crouched and drew my binos to check out the way forward, then BLAM!! three shots to the body and I'm down.

As I lay there dying I watched a team member approach him from the left and get the same treatment. What a tosser. Sorry, I didn't get his name.

Very frustrating. Still hopefully a one off.

Sorry to hear about your experience. Were there any admins on the server, and did you bring your squad leader's antics to their attention? If so, your SL would have been removed from his position for being ineffective (ie kicked).

We aim to please.

Don't worry Epoch. It hasn't put me off the server. Re the admins, I'm not too familiar with the way things work yet so I wouldn't know where to look. I've got a mic now and have downloaded TS, so I just need to work out how to configure it then communicating will be easier....even if its just to rail at my SL for not doing hi/her job.

Cheers mate.

If ever you need to get hold of an Admin for the server just search for some T&T tags somewhere and they can help.

More direct solutions are...

the Shoutbox available on Tactics & Teamwork :: "Like Minded Gaming"

We're also on Quakenet (Just join #tacteam)
