I can't fly planes or use a tank particulary well, so i stay out of those. I like to be infantry and that is why i hate Kashan with a passion. Maybe you can have good fights around the bunkers but usually i'm raped by things far beond my reach many times before i get there. And i just don't feel like being a piece of rape-bait for a 2 hour long round, so i hate it.
And it's ugly to look at also.
If you can read this the ***** fell off.

Lol, my thoughts exactly. Same goes for Al Kufrah.

I think most of you are missing the point. I believe a DEV said, some time ago, that the 64 player maps, Kashan in particular demand the coordination of the whole team like no other map in PR which mostly focus on squad play.
It's not transport that's the problem, nor is the relative lack of cover for infantry, but in fact the way the whole team depends on a good air squad that can stay alive and competently take out targets. Ground attack planes and attack helicopters eat armor for breakfast. Now if your pilots are retarded then you are pretty much screwed as shoulder launched AA, vehicle AA and static AA still kinda suck by comparison to fighters and also demand more teamwork from more players to provide adequate anti-air cover. If the enemy team rules the skies then the grounds will soon follow as their tanks won't have nearly as much of a hard time as yours. And since it's an open map, infantry's got nowhere to hide and the two anti-tank kits are going to be overwhelmed. Now losing a game on most maps isn't necessarily that bad, but on Kashan, if the above happens to you, and if it doesn't happen to you it happens to the other team, tanks will get chewed up annoyingly by enemy air assets and tanks while infantry, pretty much no matter what it does, will simply be raped out of existence either by enemy armor or air assets. Pilots have it easy as all they do when they're not flying is waiting at the main base.
So my point is, for this map to work, infantry need:
- more cover.
- improved anti-tank capability.
I suggest a beta of this map with more trench like routes which infantry could use to get some flags and areas and 2 more HAT pickup kits at the main base. I've got some doubts about it, mainly related to how the tables might get turned on the tanks, but I think it's worth a shot.
EDIT: Two AA kits per team may also be less than what is needed.
That having been said, the A10 guy wasn't as bad as you describe him Heskey, he took out a couple of tanks while he and Kilroy where in the same squad as me, which was pretty disorganized (there already was an A10 squad but I have no idea of how things got that way) but worked anyway.
This signature is here due to lack of imagination.

Of what I saw of that a10acepilot, he spent most of the round trying to give our squad a haircut north of the bunkers, without doing much else.

Ah, Kashan Headache map.

I had a few good rounds there, where both of the team had fun. Unfortunately, the ratio to the bad ones is like 1:10. It's sad. It's indeed a nice map, but after what I've seen, I tend to stay away from it.

I love almost all the maps, but not the players.

I´m afraid, it is becoming more and more difficult to have a good game. The amount of teamwork required is going up (and I fully agree with that) but the amount of teamwork between players is going down, it just isn´t the same. I am greatly put off infantry fighting now, due to grenade spam and the inaccuracy of the guns (no, not the deviation) and doing what I most like (flying) fails most of the time, when I get called into a very hot LZ or people hop in without saying where they want to go, and when asked say "I don´t care, to the action". :( Thats not to say I don´t have good games, but they are getting rare. :(

PS: I was in that round near the end, and then Qwai after, absolute DISASTER! We as US never capped a flag.

A video is being developed of that battle-recorder; I posted the tactic last night, but I think it's just too genious to give away ;)

Oh and the other dude; it wasn't WTF Kashan... Why would I join 24/7 Kashan if I hate the damned map? :P

the thing i terribly hate about kashan is..

you organize a pilot squad of 3 maybe 4 guys.

you wait 15-20 on plane or heli

some vanilla noob who has been tanking for the past hour decides to coe over ,grab a pilot kit , steal the plane we were waiting for and then lose it 5 mins in

The vanilla noob actually helped his team more than you since he has been tanking instead of wanking around on the airstrip

think about when the organised pilot squad gets the plane and tank busts.

its just disrespectful to come take plane after 10 secs of waiting from someone who has waited.

I hate Kashan. Simply too big. I gotta say, I'm a groundppounder, and Kashan is not for groundpounder. When you like urban warfare, Kashan will never appeal to ya.

Well,I suppose I better own up and say that was me at North Bunker. We were dropped there,as our SL thought people were capping North Village. When that didn't happen we asked for pickup but the BlackHawk was destroyed.
Then NickBond came to the rescue! :)

Quoted (again) for the truth. And I second Thyreus's thoughts about Al Kufrah. Had a fabulous time being continuously buttraped by a tank there last night while another squad was busy TKing and blowing up our own armor.

Funny, there's usually six "pilot squads".
