Dog Tags...
Seeing as how when you kill someone, you don't get a message anymore telling you who it was, maybe make it possible to go up to your 'victims' dead corpse (or bag, just incase the body fell off the cliff into the river 200 ft down and the bag is where u shot him) and you can look at his dog tags. Also maybe make it so not only his name shows but what kit he had, you know to find out what you were up agisnt. So when you go up there and pick off a guys dog tag, to find out its someone who is really "im all that" or something, you ca then say "heh, look who i got, its _____! Not so high and mighty now uh?"
Also if clan members are squaring off in a public server, and one clan member picks off another clan members tags that he killed, then he goes to the clan fourms (or blurts it out loud if hes that kinda guy) saying "He look ____! I gotcha that one time, remeber when you were *insert scneraio here*, well that was me on the other end! HA!"
Its a pretty minor thing, but i think it might be a creative addition, and its still realistic....except maybe there problem off, does the guy know the oppents language the dog tags are written in? Only thing i find questionable.
Sorry for any spelling errors, or grammer errors. Also thank you for reading this, and I hope this may be implemented. Thanks.

Oooh.... it's a wee bit grim to be doing that. It sounds a bit like scalping a guy after he's down
Besides, it's still a kill indicator - and that's always deactivated in PR - so, in essence, same burger: different bun. I don't really see this change benefiting the gameplay.

I never said that and i wasn't even thinking about it, liek i said, jsut an idea, give you a little idea on who you killed. Plus i mean, if it was WWI and i killed, oh say the red baron, wouldnt it be cool to get his dogtags and find out i got im? Same thing, i got someone who is kinda fmaus or something, nice little momento i got him.

or maybe im tkaing into cosidertion the bags dont last long....and no i dont think there is time to be checking dog tags in the middle of battle nor switching kits, but after the skirmish.RCMoonPie wrote:You dont want to waste time switching thru kits but you want to waste time checking dog-tags and then typing up a message about "heh, look who i got, its _____! Guys ease up please. No need to get insultative and personal, ok? The guy just posted a suggestion- no-one forced you to read it and if you're going to reply, do so civilly or not at all.

No, you pointed it out. You didn't do it civilly.
From what I've seen of your posts today you've got a pretty poor attitude towards others with suggestions you feel are less-than-perfect. Thats fine, you just need to remember that voicing it isn't always for the best.
Friendly warning from your neighbourhood Mod: I suggest you consider holding it in check a little before you say something that really offends somebody, netting you some warning points.

Okay then....please tell me how you would have handled it then, so I know for future reference.
The statement I commented on, contradicted the poster's previous post.
Is sarcasm not allowed here?
It just seems that some people are extremely sensitive about this forum...and yet they want so much realism in this game/mod about killing.
I mean no disrespect to anyone whether it be a thread-poster or a mod.

The forum - like all forums - is a virtual community. We have people come, stay, leave, return. We don't all always get on, and we can make some good online aquaintances or even friends with those we do get on with.RCMoonPie wrote:Okay then....please tell me how you would have handled it then, so I know for future reference.

So of course it's going to be sensitive, especially as we're all drawn here with a very abstract focus; a game. To make it even harder, we all talk about other stuff like politics and such.
The fact it's about killing, for me, is irrelevant. You can deal with the subject of virtual death without posting pictures of obscene acts of violence (ever been on /b/ at 4chan, or somethingawful.com?) or graphic videos of people being shot, as has previously happened (a few times).
The community attempts to be family friendly - hence limits on swearing and subjects suitable for discussion etc. Yes, that's a dichotemy when compared to the subject matter, but hey - what 10 year old kid HASN'T played with a toy gun?
Sarcasm is fine. I consider myself a master of it
Often, people will then post something constructive along with the sarcy comment to clarify what they think deserves the sarcasm.
Finally, the last part of your post:
Isn't sarcasm, it's just rude and condescending. If I were sat at a table listening to some guys discussing something and a guy said that to someone else, I'd think they were rude and I'd call them up on it. The 'net is no different - just because people are faceless names it doesn't remove an obligation to obey social niceities." I think you just proved how much thought you actually put into your statement."
So, were I to point out the flaws you did, I'd've probably done it in the following way:
Whether or not you see it, there is a difference."Hold on - you haven't got time to switch through kits but you'd have time to examine a dog tag and possibly type out a celebratory kill chant over teamchat? Ey?"
Finally - updating your post to say you're preserving the "frail sensibility" of people comes across in a similar manner; condescending.
Anyways. Enough said.
